Mary Fortune, Melbourne's first female crime-fiction author is the inspiration behind Papa Goose head chef Neale White's new wine and cocktail bar.
Much mystery surrounds the life of Ms Fortune-one of the first women in the world to write detective fiction. Many of the titles of her work inspire the names of the cocktails.
The food is a range of offerings from individual bite sized pieces, sharing plates, hearty meals and a delicious range of cheeses and charcuterie. The ever-evolving wine list of quirky nature features many interesting varietals and styles.
A classically designed space with marble and chandeliers allows our guests the comfort and warmth of a writer's den in the heart of Melbourne's cobblestone laneways.
